1. Wednesday was 07/08/09, at least according to the US calendar. There was 12:34:56 on 07/08/09 as well as 4:56 on 07/08/09, amongst the many other number combinations available. What was your favorite?
2. Google announced its own operating system, called Chrome. Sound familiar? It is also the name of their web browser, which currently isn’t ready for prime time on my OS of choice, Mac.
3. “Yankees on YES” debuted. Now, Yankees games are not blacked out online in the NYC area. Just as long as you a) are already paying to watch Yankee games on Cablevision (other providers are not available yet, but expect that to happen by the start of the 2010 baseball season), and b) you pay extra money for that option. Are you paying for Yankees on YES?
4. Twitter suspended tens of thousands of accounts accused of spam or using automated techniques. Many of these suspensions were in error, and were reinstated. This includes the very knowledgeable @tornadotorino. Welcome back Mike!
